Leaf "you're thirsty i'll be rain, when you get hurt i'll take your pain." general info
APPEARANCE
Leaf is a rather small she cat, but don't even think to say that to her face. With a life that has left her providing for herself and her family, her muscles are toned and strong, though on the outside, you aren't able to see it too well. Her fur is medium in length, and feathery soft to the touch. She is careful about keeping the white part clean and all knots licked out. In other words, she is a neat freak about her fur. While most of her body is this shiny white, she has black and russet markings throughout them. However, these are in no detail or specific area, and appear to just be splatter out in random places. Though, the main spots to see the pops of color are her flanks, back, and her face. From the belly down, she is completely white, including legs and paws. Her ears and legs are in proportion with her body, but her tail is a little longer than average, helping her balance a bit better than most cats. And finally, she has yellow eyes that in some lighting may appear to have green tints. personality
To start off in the positives, Leaf is and always has been, an intelligent cat. Her level of knowledge has always been within protecting and taking care of her little band, which was her family. She was always the brains of the group, working on how to get them enough food, how to keep the other batches of loners at bay, and working to defend the den when need be. Basically, her knowledge stretches far and wide when it comes to attack, defense, and hunting. However, Leaf isn't the kind of cat to get tied to a certain group. She is never completely loyal to a specific cat or group. While she loves her family dearly, her loyalties and levels of trust will flip and change depending on whom's idea she finds the most promising and/or logical. Leaf is also very adaptable. She has been on the move her entire life, never truly settling. Because of this, she is able to settle into situations quickly and confidently, even if the world around her is falling apart. Another way to understand this she cat is that you must know she is reckless. She has no boundaries, and because she is very hard to bound with loyalty, she is willing to do almost anything. Especially when she is protecting the ones she loves, there is no saying how far she will go. However, it must also be said that more than less, she believes she is doing these things for the greater good. Out of everything said above, Leaf is a loving cat who just wants to serve a purpose in the world, while protecting and providing for the ones she loves. She is a genuinely kind cat who is more than willing to go out of her way to help others and be your shoulder to lean on when you need it. Last but not least, Leaf is the kind of cat who likes to keep to herself. She will be there for anyone when they need her, but to get her to express how she is feeling or get her to open up in general to you, it takes a lot of work and a lot of patience.
HISTORY In the fall of their fifth moon as a mated pair, Hawk and Dandelion would decide that they were ready to start a family. When the time came where the sandy patched she cat was ready to have her kittens, her mate would find them an old fox den on the edge of the woods to call a home. The two settled down there, Hawk hunting for his expecting mate, while she focused on remaining relaxed and calm. Soon enough, the first-time queen would give birth to two beautiful kits. The largest of the two was a dark brown tabby tom like his father, who would be named Oak, and then the smaller, calico she cat would be named Leaf. Both kittens earned their names from their fur. However, Leaf's fur pattern was brought down from her grand-mother, as her father was a dark tabby and her mother a cream and white she cat. Growing up, the two were taught under the guiding paws of their parents. Hawk taught his children how to fight and defend their borders, while Dandelion taught them how to hunt and climb trees. While all were very important topics, Leaf was mostly amused in planning out the training before it was done. She easily learned the best ways to hunt certain types of prey, as well as how to take down an enemy of most sizes. In the end, she was the kind of daughter every parent could ask for. She was determined, intelligent, and all around a well behaved cat. Her only fault was the head on her shoulders and her wild nature that kept her from following the rules her parents laid out. Such an incident would be the reason her brother died. One evening, when the siblings were just reaching their 13th moon, Leaf and her brother had gone out to try and search for a vixen that had been scented near their home den. They weren't to do any actual fighting, but simply locate the canine and bring the news back to their parents. However, when they found the vixen's den, Leaf became curious and poked her head in, only to get chased in a moment by a very angry mother vixen. Her brother and herself would race for the trees, but only once she was on a top branch did Leaf realize her brother wasn't on her tail. When she peered down from her hiding place, she saw him battling with the mother vixen. To keep the story short, she would run to her parents after the skirmish and her brother would soon perish of the infection that his injuries caused. The family was heart-broken and after this, tensions fused between the daughter and her parents. But, the family conflict would be short lived when Dandelion announced that she was having another litter. Tension was replaced with excitement and soon, a brown and white tom would be born into the family, earning the name Buck for his soft brown fur with white markings. With her parents aging fast, it became Leaf's job to teach Buck how to be a loner cat and survive with the family. In the moons to come, Leaf would become the official cat in charge of the little band. Seasons flew by, and the family grew, not just in it's own numbers, but the mother and children soon became home to other lone cats, until it was a band of about seven or eight. A new leader took over her, a more experienced cat named Onyx. Hating his leadership and the way he tried to control her, Leaf fought the dictatorship. But, in the end it would all fall apart, and she would set off from the family to find a new place to settle, never turning her head to see how her family survived, if at all, through the new hierarchy.
