ooc: So background info here. Mudfang was on a council team in BreezeClan he was a deputy along with another cat. So since Honeyheart has absolutely zero experience he thinks he should be leader so instead of doing TWO one shots because my muse is all hella jumbled, I am doing ONE with a memory portion of an interaction with her and eveningblaze.
A crisp breeze tickled her ginger fur. She stood proud ignoring last nights events. She showed no signs of weakness as she walked around camp. She examined the nursery walls, it would need to be patched up some more, but Blueflower was handling that wonderfully. She was keeping Pinekit Jay and Gullkit busy, as soon as things were settled they would be apprentices anywho. She would have to look around and figure out who would best suit them. The warriors den was finally fixed, and prey was in the pile, despite the distrust between everyone, things were getting done, and she couldn't complain otherwise. Her next stop was near the stream that ran through their camp, on the otherside was the medicine cats den that Eveningblaze had quickly made his home. He had made beds for sick, and stocked up the herbs, she couldn't help but twitch her whiskers with amusement, for someone who was so grumpy about his position he certainly got work done. He was incredibly talented no cat would deny that. She turned to walk away when their was a deep cough behind her. She flicked an ear and turned to look at the black tom who seemed to have a look on his face as if he were scolding a kit.
"Yes Eveningblaze?"
"That wound one your shoulder. Its infected I can smell it from here how exactly did that happen?"
Honeyheart looked at her shoulder, she had completely forgot about it. She looked down at her paws blinking the thought away, but it didn't take long for her eyes to cloud over as she thought about her interactions with Mudfang outside of their camp walls. As he had said, they weren't officially a clan, there was nothing she could do, what could she do?
The young she-cat had decided to go for a walk. The moon was high, the air crisp, she needed it. Many things were going well some not so well. She didn't expect everyone to get along right off, but thr distrust and tension were incredibly visible. Especially between clans who had fought before the dark forest battle. She stood on a log overlooking some marsh territory when she heard large paw prints behind her. She turned around, the tom was in a stance that made her slightly uncomfortable but she did not let that show.
"Mudfang....how Can I help you did you need something?"
The large brown tabby tom chuckled ever so slightly before flicking his tail in the air. He unsheathed his claws letting them sink into the mud. He curled his lip ever so slightly letting the moonlight reflect off of his bloodstained fangs making them glisten. He paced forward circling around the young she-cat his tail brushing against her flank teasing her ever so lightly.
"I heard that StarClan has been silent with Eveningblaze, that they have sent him no message about who should be leader of our little brigade is this true?"
Honeyheart closed her eyes as his tail stroked her flank, she would not break in front of this tom, he was looking for dominance and looking for weakness and she would not let this happen.
"Yes but there doesn't need to be a sign to know when one is fit for the job. StarClan will speak when they need to, for now I'm doing JUST fine."
As her words ended, Mudfang leaped at her and the cats were rolling around. Honeyheart may have been smaller but she was much more agile, and Mudfang wasn't familiar for BirchClans fighting moves, mudfang raked his claws across her shoulder but in return she bit down on his leg not letting go until she drew blood, and she tore away fiercely. For what seemed like many moments the cats fought hissing and screeching, but both ended in stalemate. Panting Mudfang narrowed his eyes before storming back to camp...all over leadership? Honeyheart winced ever so slightly she would need to hide this. She took mud placing it on her wound and sticking it on her pelt. They didn't need to know anything.
Her attention was soon back on Eveningblaze before she smiled softly. "Its just a scratch, I fell into the marches cut myself on a sharp branch."
Eveningblaze raised a brow before looking over towards Mudfang who walked with a slight limp. Both had each others scents plastered all over them. He coughed once before nodding towards his den.
"Right a stick....well it looks like the stick won. Come by later I'll treat you."
Honeyheart nodded softly before padding off towards her fathers own den. Was it that obvious? She gave her wound a lick and winced ever so slightly. She knew Mudfang was a good warrior he was strong and fearless, BreezeClan saw something in him right? So perhaps she could look past the previous nights incident too. It was just a small battle wound....and with time....all wounds heal.
