APPEARANCE
Flicker is brown. Like leaves. Er, dead leaves. At least, that's what other cats say. I was born in Greenleaf so I don't really know but Mama says that in 'Leaffall' there are lots of brown leaves that look just like me! One cat told me I'm brown like dirt, but I don't like dirt so I don't think I look like that. Oh! And I'm white too! Did I say that? Well, I did now: I'm white! Hurray! Papa has loads of white all over him! I mostly just have it on my legs and a bit on my face, like a splashed in a puddle. Mama said I am her pretty little Flicker Bird! One day, I'm going to catch a Flicker Bird - just you wait! But don't worry, I'll let it go right after. Everyone has the right to be free and enjoy the forest. Especially us Flickers!  personality
2-4 Moons Oh boy. What am I like? Okay. I know this one. I mean, who knows me better than me? Haha I am a kit and I am very nice and I have lots of siblings and I love all of them! Especially Myrna! She and I have the best fun together EVER! We actually found out a way to get past the adults a few days ago. We are going exploring! It is going to be super fun! I just hope Crowkit doesn't find out. He ruins all the best schemes. 4-6 Moons The sky was blue today you know. And it wasn't too hot out. Everyone was out playing with a bit of moss Birchtail brought back. I didn't play. I can't play. My body won't let me. My mama won't let me. My chest tightens up and my throat burns from coughing. Eating is too painful and yet Mama is always pushing it on me. Doesn't she know it hurts? Doesn't she even care? She just wants to keep me in this bush for the rest of my life. Some cats say we are blessed by the stars in Silverpelt. I watch them every night, when Mama has fallen asleep and the nightmares wake me. I don't remember a time before this pain. Before moving my limbs was agony and breathing felt like claws on my throat. The stars bless all cats, so why did they forget me? I keep begging Mama to tell why but she just gets this sad, far away look in her eyes. Like she's seeing me already dead. Like she doesn't even notice I'm still alive.
