General Appearance:

Bear is of average build and size. He's normal cat height and weight, normal amount of muscle mass for a wild cat. Nothing out of the ordinary there. He has large paws with black paw pads and curved claws. His whiskers are long and white. His ears are big and pointed, always alert. His tail is short. He has a rose pink nose.

He has soft fur, although it's short. It has a tabby pattern, and mostly brown. His face  and back are a darker brown. His sides, tail, and legs are a gray-brown color. He has a white chest, throat, and underbelly. He has darker brown tabby stripes along him, as well as a few dark brown spots. He has several gray flecks in his fur already.

Like all wild cats, he has his scars. He has several of them, too. They're all over his body and it's clear that he's quite the fighter. His ears have several triangles in them. None of the scars are really that distinguished.

Personality:

Bear is a complex cat, as he is Silver's most loyal friend and a formidable warrior. He has a deep respect, loyalty and love for Silver, and has always tried to give her reasonable, practical, and effective advice. While He is a moral person and always tries to be honorable, he has done several dishonorable acts out of love or for his own survival. He killed several cats to prove himself to his(now ex) mate and fled home to escape execution. He is Silver's most level-headed advisor.

He is intelligent and well traveled, knowing much of the lands around the territories and the territories themselves.

Although stoic, short-spoken and sometimes cold, He does have the ability to warm up to people once they earn his respect. This can take some time, unless he has a good feeling about someone.

He is also a skilled warrior, though he does have a honor code, and tries not to kill his opponent(anymore) if such option is possible. He is known to take on several cats at once, with consequences, and has survived.

He generally keeps his disturbed past a secret. He hasn't even revealed it to his closest friend and doesn't plan to. Even so, if he does, all he can hope for is acceptance.

He trusts Silver with his life and would die protecting her. He doesn't want to let her down in anyway. He loves her to be honest. He hasn't told her, of course. He doesn't plan on it, either. After all, he's actually quite nervous to see what she thinks.

History:

Bear is a strong cat. He always has been, even as a kit. He was born during the harsh winter. Him and most of his siblings survived, much to many cat's surprises. His father and uncle kept his mother fed fairly well. His uncle eventually starved to death right as spring was coming around, much to his parent's despair.

From a young age it was clear he was a good cat. He helped his mother do many things and was taught to fight by his father. He was skilled with fighting, much like his brothers. He was nice to the neighbors, often doing what he could to help them as well. Hell, he was even sweet on the ladies.

A she-cat was picked out for him to mate with. An ex-kittypet. Very beautiful. Very prissy. He was amazed at her beauty and they became mates not a moon after they met. He kept her safe and did what he could to show that he was a good mate. Of course, she would often talk about leaving and going back to her twolegs.

He didn't want that, so she told him to prove himself. He asked how. She told him to fight for her. Show her that he wasn't some soft cat. And he did. He killed many cats, including his cousins and even one of his brothers. He did what he could to show that he was a strong cat that could take care of her.

Even so, his father found out. Moose was furious and in a rage. Bear tried to explain. He hadn't realized how corrupted and blind his loyalty and love was for Princess. Moose gave him until the end of the day to leave before the hunt began.

Bear went to get Princess, only to find her with another tom. He didn't attack or say goodbye. He just stared for a moment, disappointed, before turning and leaving his family's territory.

At twenty five moons old, he ran into a she-cat by the name of Silver. Her brother had just given her away to a different tom. The tom's name was Bull, and he was built like a bull. Her brother was named Gold. Gold, Silver, and Bull let him stay in the group of cats they were in, as long as he would guard Silver. And he promised he would.

No much later, he fell in love with her. He never admitted it, but he was always there to protect her. And he was. Even when her mate was attacked and killed by a badger. Even when her kits came out stillborn. Even when her brother tried to attack her. He was by her side the whole time.

He still is to this day, protecting her with everything he has. Even with others there to protect her as well, he rarely lets his guard down.
