Ravenmist stretched her limbs as Dusk turned to Dawn. Her father had been in the area helping her get better. Her wounds had healed, her sickness gone. The she-cat had been strong especially with all the death around her. She looked to Boltfang and let out a deep sigh. "Dad I think it's time to move on from here. Cats are getting closer and closer we need to find another place." Ravenmist mewed. The she-cat had never been all that close with their father but when they only had each other left, she might as well start to like him. The she-cat grabbed a mouse from the prey pile taking a few bites before she was full. She didn't have much of an appetite. The she-cat was still weak but they needed to get out of here. "We need to avoid the hill, and avoid being out in the open. We should walk on the outer edge of BreezeClan's old territory. It will take awhile but I think DuskClans old territory will be safe. If we keep moving we will be safe I think." Ravenmist mewed. She was thinking strategically. You had to in this land. If they stayed in one spot for too long, things became dangerous. "Maybe we will find a more permanent spot. A lot of cats have been sticking to the outsides...at least those who don't want to go on a killing spree." Ravenmist mewed. She sat up with her tail around her paws, waiting for her father. She gave an amused twitch of her whiskers. At least she wasn't alone.

Boltfang had been watching the sun rise, waiting for his daughter to wake up. Never really close with her, never really sure if he ever could be. Then again, He was never really sure he'd ever talk to her after Dusk and Dawn split. Then he heard a voice from behind him and his ears perked up,
Dad'?
Boltfang's ears twitched and he looked at her when she finished speaking. "Did you just call me dad?" Boltfang held his breath and then quickly added," I mean I'm just... Umm.... Duskclan's old territory.... Uh.... Sounds good." Boltfang's ears twitched and he glanced away in awkwardness. When the he couldn't think of anything to say, his mouth turned onto autopilot.
"You're mom would kill me if I let something happen to you, so I'm gonna follow your lead kid."

Ravenmist blinked her eyes as he asked his question. She didn't answer him, instead she pretended not to hear his question. She padded towards the plains, it was like going on the journey all over again. The sky was lit up with oranges reds and pinks. It made her feel on fire. It made her want to fix this. As she started walking, her tail touched his shoulder slightly. "You've done a lot for me, Saved my life twice now." She remembered her first kitting. IT was rather unfortunate how it turned out, and then just a moon ago she was staring StarClan in the face...if StarClan was even still around. "I can't believe that in both of our clans...we were so deceived by our clan mates cats who we trust with our lives, makes me question starting a clan again. To think that they destroyed us so easily..do you think StarClan is quiet because of the dark forests power? perhaps they are in their own war... Whatever the reason she didn't really care she had her father and when it was time they would speak to them once more. "we could also go to the mountains, the mountain cats may have answers...despite them having a different ancestry we still connect and perhaps they will know something its...worth a shot right?" She asked.

Boltfang stood up and followed his daughter, catching up to her pace and settling in step for a long walk. "Starting a clan again..... It's nice to know I'm not the only one who's mind it crossed." Boltfang's mind wandered to the far corners of his memories. Saving his daughter was one of his better ones. Something he cherished in both his memories.
"Heading to the mountains might be a good idea, but I'm not sure I'm ready to leave the area... just yet... I need to find Duskblaze and Snowstorm.... You're.... adopted brothers."

She flicked an ear as he mentioned adopted brothers. "I'm sorry who are they?" Ravenmist questioned as they started walking. She slight recognized their names from gatherings but other than that those names meant nothing to her. "Do you even know if they are alive...this could be kinda hopeless you know. Do you know the LAST place you saw them? That would be the best place to start right?" If only her son Sedgewhisker was still alive. HE was the best tracker she had ever seen. He could find someone off of a stale scent easily. It didn't take him very long. He passed his tracking assessment in just a few moments, fastest record for DawnClan. It had made her proud. She puffed out her chest slightly before turning her attention back to her father. "We need to go to the last place you knew they were. So how about you lead the way." Ravenmist mewed. She was hopeful that she would get along with them, however she wasn't about to just hand out her trust. She knew that was a bad idea. She had handed out her trust to her clan mates and look where that got her. It got her into this mess. Now she doesn't hand out her trust to anyone for fear of being betrayed.

Duskblaze was over by Aurora Hill. Boltfang knew that much.
"Duskblaze is alive, or he was last time I saw him, Before I found you. Snowstorm is his Brother, they came to Stormclan when they were six moons old, Fernheart loved them like our own..."
Boltfang twitched his ears at the memory. It was a nice one, one that he couldn't get rid of, no matter how much he wanted to, it was a memory he couldn't live without.
"I don't know if Snowstorm is alive though.... I want to believe he is, but Duskblaze and him were inseparable, But Dusk was alone...."
Boltfang twitched his whiskers at the thought.
"Maybe we should move on Raven..."

Raven flinched when her father mentioned last time he saw Duskblaze he was on the hill. "Who...how long ago did you see Duskblaze on the hill..days...minutes...hours...MOONS." She didn't want to upset her father but if it had been moons what hope did they have. Aurora Hill was a war zone. It wasn't safe for either of them. However....he was her father. "Look lets outskirt the hill if you catch his scent we can follow it but if things become too sticky we need to pull out. It's not worth our lives to be going there based on a hunch. WE need to be smarter than that. Ravenmist mewed. She didn't know Duskblaze's or Snowstorms scent. All in all it would be up to her father to find them both. "Family is family so let's just....find them and go to the mountains for answers. I just want to know...a few things.." She knew the mountain cats were spiritual and maybe they would have a way to speak to StarClan...she wanted to see Blackstar her mother anyone she knew and loved. She cared about her father and she was great she wasn't alone but everything felt so empty...she felt dead.

Bolt blinked as Ravenmist spoke, he waited for her to finish before he began. As she spoke of the last time he had come in contact with Duskblaze, the thought entered his mind and was quickly forced out.
"It's been almost a moon since I've seen him. But that doesn't change what I believe. I have to believe he's alive, I have to believe Snowstorm is alive...."
Bolt slow his walking to a halt and looked at Raven, then he added.
"I had to believe I could help you... If I don't have you I've got nothing. And then I'm back to where I was when you were born."
Bolt began walking again, trying to take his mind off of what it was so sure was the truth. His mind believed that everyone he cared about was dead, but his heart told him otherwise.

Duskblaze the Loner He bared his teeth as the sounds of two voices reached his ears. His tail lashed back and forth as he recognized one of the voices as his adopted father. He didn't want to see him right now. Especially since they had a fight the last time they saw each other.
Since the last time, he had gone off to look for Thyme. When he hadn't been able to find him, he had come back in search of a sign of his brother. He had found nothing here. And he looked as malnourished as ever. His ribs were showing and his eye was swollen from a recent fight. His legs shook and were so skinny that his paws looked too big. He didn't have the energy to really raise his head up anymore either, so it was low, as was his tail.
He waited until the two cats would be able to see him before saying, "What are you two doing here?"

Ravenmist jumped at a the sudden voice. She growled lip turning into a snarl, but when her father didn't flinch, she let her fur lay flat. When the tom asked what they were both doing here she looked at her father confused. This must be Duskblaze.... She thought to herself. Tail swishing back and forth she watched the two for a moment longer. "Looking for you but now what we've found you I guess that's one less thing we need to do. The black she-cat mewed. She stared ahead a blank expression on her face as she turned her gaze towards the mountains. "We were going to head to the mountains, I want answers and I think they are the only cats left who have a spiritual connection to anything so I figured it was worth a shot." She mewed. She looked at her adopted brother and shifted uneasily. "My apologies I'm Boltstars daughter Ravenmist. You must be my adopted brother, apologies for not getting to know you before....all this." She added in a pleasant tone.

Boltfang's legs slowed down and looked at the voice, watching in silence as his Daughter and his Son met for the first time. Boltfang quietly waited as Ravenmist explained what they were doing, and then she finally introduced herself.
"We're going to the mountains, hopefully we can find some answers. But I'm also hoping I find Snowstorm up there. I'm hoping you'd like to come with us, Duskblaze."
Boltfang's thoughts turned to the mountains and then a cat he remembered was up there.
"Raven, Last I heard, Thunderstar was up that way."

Duskblaze the Loner He stared at the she-cat as she spoke and then looked at Boltfang. His eyes then moved back to the she-cat. She was older than himself. His tail lashed. "Tch.... Snowstorm isn't in this damn forest. So he must have gone there if he is even alive," he growled at his adopted father. He then glared at the she-cat. Ravenmist.
"Duskblaze, but I'm sure you already knew that, didn't you? Glad to know daughter and daddy have reunited. I don't want any part of this. My family is dead. My mother, gone when I was a kit. Father.... who cares. Snowstorm...Snow.... my little brother. DEAD. Fernheart is gone too. And so are your precious kits you had with her, Boltfang. You couldn't protect them just like I couldn't protect Snowstorm. Those were our jobs. And they're all dead. Why are you still looking for others?" he snarled, unsheathing his claws and stalking towards Boltfang.

Ravenmist narrowed her eyes as her adoptive brother began to talk. Her lip was soon drawn into a heavy snarl. Her snarl ripped through the air as she unsheathed her claws and lunged forward hoping to tackle Duskblaze to the ground. "Listen here Foxbreath you have NO right to talk to the cat who helped you like that. If I were you I'd run, because if you don't I'll make sure you join your stupid dead family." Her yellow eyes flashed dangerously as she dug her claws in. That wasn't a threat that was a promise. The black she-cat had lost all hope, she lost her mother, her siblings, her own kits even, but that didn't mean she had to lose ALL hope. She had found her father and that was enough to help bring the hope back. She perked her ears her eyes trailing towards her father. What did HE think about the whole situation. "There is ALWAYS Hope Duskblaze. The answers that you and I both want are in those mountains. I need to know what happened to StarClan, you want to know if your brothers alive. So you can either come with us, and keep your mouth shut the entire time, or leave. Those are your options." Ravenmist mewed firmly.

Boltfang flinched at Duskblaze's harsh words. Part of him wanted to rear back and smack him so hard his grand-kits would feel it. But he didn't, he sat silently for a moment, letting the thoughts of his dead family drift through his head, Fernheart was gone, but at least she died before the dark forest attacked, she didn't have to live the horror of family and friends being slaughtered while Bolt was helpless to do anything.
"I know, Dusk...."
That was all Bolt had managed to get out, his voice was slightly choked. holding back a wave of tears with every ounce of strength he had. His paws grew weak, but he stood tall, trying his best to keep himself together. As Ravenmist spoke, Bolt's ears twitched as she spoke of hope.
"You can come, or not. If I see Snow.... I'll send him your way."
Bolt turned towards the mountains, sitting down and watching for a moment as the clouds slowly moved along the sky.
"You know why I'm still looking for the others? So I can have a purpose in this life, and maybe, reunite cats who were close, just so I can know I'm not a total failure. I've lived for twelve moons, hiding from everything, Hoping that some how, I'd just wake up from a bad nightmare. But for the first time in a long time, I feel like I've got a reason to exist... So I can make Fernheart proud, Make Starlingfur proud of the warrior she trained..."
Bolt turned and faced Ravenmist, gazing gently at her.
"So I can make my daughter finally proud to call me her father."
Bolt turned to Duskblaze.
"You told me about you're real father, And I'm sorry I failed you, I'm sorry I failed Snowstorm. I just want to try and make things right... Take care of yourself Dusk. I'm proud of the warrior you turned out to be."
Bolt turned and began walking towards the mountains.
"Come on Raven, we've got a lot of ground to cover before nightfall."
