I've been wandering for hours.... I swear i've passed that tree at least ten times..."
The gray and white tom stepped slowly over the freezing ground. The watered down marshland had begun to slowly freeze as the temperatures lowered. Suppose Slade wasn't looking for anyone, he'd just find a nice tree to climb into and sleep for now. His head was killing him and his nose was running, The latter of which was never something new.
That tree looks really comfortable right now...
Slade's ears lowered slightly as his eyes settled on one smaller tree among the spread out forest. Walking to any tree would be a chore for normal cats, Hell it's a chore for Slade. His ears twitched and he started stumbling towards the tree, each pawstep loosely pressed against the ground like each step was an ache. Slade wasn't feeling very good, maybe he just had a cold. Maybe he had something that his parents had. Not like they were around to ask, they ditched him. He growled quietly and narrowed his eyes. Beginning to focus on making it to the tree. His eyes burned from the cold air and he was blinking a lot more because of it. a giant gust of wind came in and knocked Slade off his already weak feet.
With a thud he fell on his side, and he didn't bother moving. The cold ground was just as comfortable as the branch covered in bark, or so he thought. His eyes slowly shut as the sun shined brightly in the sky, it's warmth giving his pelt a little comfort in the cold weather. He sniffed and slowly fell asleep.
He'd probably find Petal when he woke up. Or maybe he wouldn't, Slade wasn't a cat of expectations, he just kind of was.
