Crescent Crescent rose slowly, giving Fernheart an appreciative smile. She turned to Bolt and cocked her head in confusion as she sniffled. "You're telling me... you don't remember Raven? I mean, it's been a long time, sure, but she's pretty hard to forget. She actually prides herself on that quality." This last bit was somewhat muttered. The shecat was quiet and demur around strangers, true, but get her alone with a friend and she was as feisty as they came. It was somewhat scary actually. Crescent addressed Fernheart, still eyeing Bolt strangely at his admission. "Did he hit his head or something?" Or, more likely, did Raven hit his head as a kit and simply forget to mention? That definitely sounded like something the silvery grey shecat would do.

Boltfang's eyes narrowed as the Shecat mentioned the name. He couldn't remember having a sister, let alone one named Raven. He was pretty sure the only Raven he knew was Ravenmist. If he had never met her than he couldn't forget her. Made sense right?
"I uh... I... don't know a Raven.... Well... I know Ravenmist... but.... she's not my sister..."
Boltfang tilted his head to the other side and then looked at Fernheart.
"So you don't know either then?"
After a moment of thought, Boltfang couldn't for the life of him ever remember having a sister, but apparently Crescent knew her.
"I didn't know I had a sister, but apparently you do..."

Fernheart shrugged. "Perhaps she's looking for a different Bolt? Bolt is an uncommon name, though. And this she-cat seems to be a bit younger than you. Perhaps from a different litter?" she said, looking up at the large she-cat.
Now that she thought of it, the she-cat was MUCH larger than her mate. Any cat could see that. "With a different mother or father?" she suggested, her tail flicking back and forth curiously. She was very interested in finding out whom this she-cat was and how she knew Boltfang.
"You two don't really look alike," she said suddenly to Crescent.

Crescent The large shecat snorted a laugh at Fernheart's last comment but tried to cover it up as a cough, hiding it behind her paw. "Uhm, no. No way. Bolt is not my brother. Great stars, I would never have been able to handle him as a kit. Raven said he was 'the most energized little furball she had ever met', her words not mine, mind you," Crescent added, not wanting to make any enemies. "She told me he was always getting into fights and testing his strength. Raven got separated from Bolt and their mother. Swept down a river. She finally clawed her way out near the coast line and lived in a light house for a while. She always intended to go back. Their mother had been falling sick and she worried about you," -this Crescent directed at Bolt himself. Looking at the tom, and his scars, Crescent quickly fumbled together an edited version of the next few turns of events. "but, she, er, was delayed," -more like she had been enjoying learning too much- "and she did travel back through the forest looking for you, "-skimmed the outer edge, really, on her way to the mountains for greater learning in herbs and fighting- "when she heard you became leader of your own clan. She figured you were doing fine without her and left you in peace. She came to the mountains and met me. Raven is now my closest friend, " -and most likely dead- "so when I came here to the forest, she said I should find you. That you were hot-tempered, but an honorable cat at your heart" -not her exact words, but there was no way Crescent was telling this tom 'he had the tact of a badger but the heart of a defective lion'. Somehow only Raven could say that and manage to make it sound like a compliment. - "So I came to you," Crescent finished. "Please, I just want to see my brother. I know he's here. He left us moons ago. I just want to know that he's alright. That he's happy. Then I will leave you all in peace."

Boltfang listened to the Shecats tale of both his sister and why she came here, part of him relaxed when Crescent confirmed what he thought, She wasn't his sister. But she said he did have one, and that they were close friends. Boltfang's eyes narrowed once again with interest. She wanted his help? Why, he didn't know who her brother was. Why would this 'Raven' Expect him to be useful here? Was he good at this sort of thing?
Am I good at this kinda thing?
No...
Are you?
no...
Do you even remember....
....
WHY ARE YOU HERE IF YOU'RE NOT HELPING!?
Because i can't go away, and you don't want me to go away.
Boltfang shook his head in annoyance at his own thoughts and then turned to face Crescent more fully.
"I.... Don't... Know how we..... I... Can help you... But... You're welcome to.... stay with us till... we find him"
Boltfang was about to call it a done deal.....
'That you were hot-tempered, but an honorable cat at your heart'
"I don't know my sister, but I do know she's got a few things mixed up...."

Crescent The shecat felt her legs go weak at the tom's words. Crescent had never been a particularly strong cat. She was a follower, not a leader, and certainly not a loner. The pressure of knowing every decision, every choice, every action was in her paws and her paws only had been nearly crippling. At some points it had even proved too much and Crescent only had vague recollections of how she had managed to cross particularly difficult areas or dealt with troubling situations. They were all a bit fuzzy, as if she had shut out the world for a while, completely unable to cope, and something... Something else had stepped in for her. "Thank you, Bolt," the lynx point breathed. "Thank you."It was all Crescent could manage as exhaustion swamped her. Her head felt ten times heavier and her eye lids drooped. With the pressure of finding her brother somewhat lightened, with the mounting weight of survival and loniness lightened even by the tiniest degree that the tuxedo tom offered her, all of the stress Crescent had been battling off for so long swooped down on her now and threatened to bring her to her knees. One part of her task was done. She was one, huge step closer to finding her brother and she was drained to the core of her soul. "Thank you," Crescent murmured dreamily, almost as if she had forgotten her previous thanks. Her blue eyes had dulled and her tail lay flat on the ground like an exhausted kit's. "I'll... erm, leave your resting grounds to nest. I just... Need a few hours..." the shecat trailed off into a mumble, already almost asleep on her paws.
