General Appearance: Elk's appearance comes from both of her parents, River and Shadow. Her mother, River, was a Grey She-cat with four white 'socks' and a White underbelly. Her father, Shadow, was a regular brown Tabby Tom. Okay. Now that we explained all that jazz, Let's start with the details. Elk's bade coat is a Brownish-Grey colour with Black tabby stripes. Her ears are long and black at the tip. She has bright Amber eyes and a pale pink coloured nose. Her muzzle, chest, and underbelly are white as well. She has four white 'Socks' on all of her paws. The base of her tail is the brownish-grey colour, But turns into a fluffy brown striped monstrosity. She is a beautiful She-cat, and Elk can thank her parents for that: {Description: Her Current photo(Apprentice)} -->

Elk is caring and intelligent like River, But Brave and Adventurous like Shadow. Her Strengths and Weaknesses link up with each other evenly, So she isn't one way or another. Being Adventurous and Brave are both of Strengths and Weaknesses because she has courage and likes to learn new things; But sometimes it's better to Follow than lead. Her third Strength is being Intelligent. Elk can figure out problems or solutions that help her get through everyday life, which Also helps Elk learn new things without trying to get killed or injured{Sarcasm}. Now, Let's move on to Elk's Likes and Dislikes, Shall we? From learning her Strengths and Weaknesses, You can probably figure out what she likes and dislikes. She likes Climbing, Figuring out Situations, and Exploring the world around her. But, Elk dislikes Fishing, which sort of stops her Adventure side when it comes to water. She also dislikes Talking to groups{Medium-Large} because of her size making her feel self conscious. Finally, Elk dislikes staying still for long periods; Which is why She is adventurous. One big circle, I guess you can say!

Even though they were born in the barn and raised in the fields close by, No Twolegs messed with them. She had only seen Twolegs when the weather was at its' warmest and they could plant their food in the large fields. And even then, They wouldn't bother to investigate her presence. When Ash and Elk turned 4 moons, River taught them the knowledge of herbs that her mother taught her. She learned which herbs were poisonous, and which herbs kept strength and helped if they became injured. Elk mastered this quickly, While Ash lost interest. Shadow decided to teach him how to Swim in the water and learn basic water skills. It was when Ash and Elk became 5 moons old, Their parents decided that they were allowed to go to the Coastline and watch the Sun and Waves. But River and Shadow Warned them. "Don't go to close to the cliff, You might slip and fall in..."They warned. They both obeyed, But Elk's Adventurous side got the best of her a few sunrises later. It was one of the last days of warmth before if would snow, So Elk and Ash decided to go play by the Cliffs. They were play fighting, Elk being a large bird known as a Hawk, and Ash being the prey. Elk had run at Ash, pretending to swoop down with her sharp talons and pick him up. Ash hissed loudly and rolled towards the Edge as Elk tackled him. Ash then landed on his back and pushed forward with his legs, Sending Elk flying. She landed on her paws safely, But slid backwards and falling off the cliff; Landing in the Water below.
Fear flushed through Elk's mind as she reached for the Cliff's edge but missed. "Ash!"She screeched as Ash ran up to the edge, Trying to catch her. She hit the water like a rock, Making Elk's mind swirl. //I can't swim! Mom never taught me how!//She thought, panicking. She kicked her legs and fore-paws widely, not making any progress. Her vision blurred and started to blacken as a figure swam towards her. She was picked up by the scruff and rushed towards the surface. her eyes closed as Ash's voice entered her mind. //E.....Elk! Come on, Wake up! Don't die!" His voice made her awaken. Ash had swam down and saved Elk's life. He had dragged her up and onto a sank bank beside the shore-line. She jerked her head up, coughing out water. She was shivering, Her mind whirling. "A-Ash...You saved me!"She pulled Ash forward, Hugging him. Ash pulled back, A horrified expression on his face. "No, I almost killed you. We should have never come to play here. I pushed you off the cliff by accident. I swam down to get you because I forgot Mom only taught you about herbs instead of Swimming."He mewled, His eyes filled with sorrow. "Ash, We were just playing! That is behind us now. I'm glad your my brother..."She mewled, purring loudly and softly cuffing his ear. She then stood up and playfully growled at Ash. Ash growled back and they raced each other back to the Farm, Waiting to go to their parents until they were dry.
Elk and Ash were now both 6 moons of age. As usual, Their parents would take them hunting and all four of them would hunt for mice until they each had one for themselves. They would then climb into the Hay-loft at the top of the barn and eat there while River and Shadow told them stories. "Mom, Will you tell us one more? I'm not tired enough to go to sleep yet!"Elk begged, With Ash agreeing. "Oh, Alright, But only one more..." "Long ago, there were two cats. One born beside the Sea, and the other born in the Forest. Their love was forbidden but they met where the Forest and Coastline split. They loved each other dearly. Their parents disagreed with each other's beliefs, And so their children were forbidden to have a mate of a different religion. They had two kits, One Tom and One She-cat, who had a destiny upon them. When both pairs of Grandparents confronted them, They were angry with the two kits' parents for disobeying their ancestor's commands. And so, They were banished from the land, Never to be seen again."River spoke out. "Wow! Is that true Mom! What happened to them? Did they come back?"Ash asked, His blue eyes lighting up. River and Shadow ignored his Questions, Telling them to go to sleep. Elk and Ash curled up in their strung our hay piles, falling asleep. "Before to go to sleep my Loves, I must tell you about tomorrow. You are now old enough to journey on your own, and for that, you must leave the barn and go see the world beyond your dreams. We love you two..."River mewled, Walking away with Shadow into the Forest beyond, never to be seen again, As the Tall-Tale played out.It had been a few weeks since Elk has seen River and Shadow. Her and her brother did as they were told and left the following Sunrise, Journeying towards the plains that no Twoleg had farmed. Elk and Ash then split their own way, going in opposite directions. Ash heading towards the Large bright structure towards the northern coastline, While Elk lived near in part of the forest and part of the Plains that neared the base of Mountains, Which was known for the "Monster of No Mercy" coming through every few sunsets; It's loud roaring noise echoing through the Forest. Elk had hunted Rabbits, Birds, Squirrels, and Mice in the area she lived in. She had to stay clear of Moose, Cougars, Bears, And Lynx that would often come into her territory to hunt for food. Every Autumn, Elk would hunt as much as she could before winter so that she could last through it without starvation coming upon her. One winter, She had noticed something different. Predators such as Cougars and Lynx would come out more often, and It started to get colder. Elk knew that something in the weather changed, Because it started snowing more frequently, Making it harder to travel as well. She knew that the next couple winter after this one would more harsh than it ever was.
Elk was now 7 moons of age, and She was more mature and careful now than before. She would often look towards the Coastline, Wondering where her brother was. "It might be more harsh for him during winter. The winds probably make it unbearable to look out towards the sea."She wondered more often than not. It was Autumn once more, and there were already signs of snow. She stocked up her prey well, Gathering herbs as well that she learned that would help her keep strength and in case if she was injured. One day, Elk noticed something our of the ordinary. A figure had wondered to the edge of her territory. She could see the figure well. It wasn't a lynx, but a cat like herself. The cat looked up from the Scentline and stared back at her. The cat then backed up and retreated. Was it Ash or one of her parents? Or just a passing loner? She sniffed the air. It wasn't Ash nor one of her parents, She confirmed. Is was just a passing rogue after all. But where did they come from? They didn't have the salty see scent from the ocean, Or the light Forest smell that Elk had. She would probably never know...
