The clouds rolled across the sky, and despite the situation, it was rather peaceful. The beautiful she-cat lifted her gaze to the sky. Mom dad...despite you being silent please do not forget about me..." She looked over to her sister and smiled. Despite them being lost she still had Sorrelpool, Hickorynose and Gullwing. Four friends that have been inseparable since kithood. Soon the mother to be would be bringing her own kits into the world. Her eyes fell on Gullwing and they sparkled brightly. No one ever thought that the deaf kit would be worth anything. However Honeyheart KNEW better. She fought for him, and her hard work paid off. She watched the bodies around her begin to stir, it was another day. Another day that they were all alive. That was something to be proud of. One blue eye then another Honeyheart nosed her mate on the cheek giving a purr. "Any day now I think. They keep moving around. I can't wait to start this family. I imagine a bunch of kits running around and clan life once more I just....I can't wait for us to meet them." She saw him smile and nodding eagerly before they brushed pelts. She saw the lazy ginger and white pelt of HIckorynose finally get up and she rolled her eyes. "Sunhigh is any moment about time lazy pelt. Don't you all have your hunting patrol to do soon?"
She stood up puffing out her chest as she watched the other three stretch out their limbs. This is what they did every day. Honeyheart would stay and man the camp. She would organize, grab fresh moss from near the rivers, gather herbs, the ones she knew how to use that was and then they would hide back in their hiding spot. IT was nothing special and certainly wouldn't be enough room once her kits were grown. It was big enough for the four cats, it was crowded but at least they were safe. Honeyheart followed behind them they were getting low on Marigold so she supposed she would go find some of that while they were hunting. "Stay safe all of you. Do not wander far especially not towards the hill I still hear the shrieking...the fighting..." She winced softly before her sisters tail fell on her shoulder. She knew that Sorrelpool would keep them all safe but it was still scary to think about them out alone. Especially with Gullwing being deaf. They did come home each time but what if they didn't?
She watched them go and her heart sank. She gave her chest a quick lick before padding towards the river. "Do not worry my lovelies daddy will be home soon." Her paws soaked into the cool water and the she-cat closed her eyes as the water flowed over her swollen paws. It felt very nice. Above her the birds chirped you couldn't go wrong. Today was the day things would be different she knew it. The golden she-cat stepped out of the water and back towards the woods where she would be gathering her herbs. minutes turned to hours, and Sunhigh was turning to sundown. She flicked her ears as she started to pace around her camp, it never took them this long to come back. NEVER. I know I shouldn't...but something doesn't feel right I need to look for them..." As Honeyheart started to walk, she felt a burning sensation on her sides...and soon she couldn't breathe. However she kept pushing forward. Sorrelpool was in danger and she knew it. As she walked she could hear shrieking and hissing from the hill and her heart sank. They didn't...please tell me they didn't..."
She ran at a fast pace considering her situation, it didn't take her long to see a flash of Ginger and white. "HICKORYNOSE! The ginger and white tom stopped for a moment to look at Honeyheart his eyes were wide with fear. He looked around over his shoulder, fur was fluffed up. This didn't look right to her. Something was wrong. "Wheres Sorrelpool and Gullwing...." She watched as Hickorynose shook his head, his coat stained red. NO...NO...." Her heart began to race she began to panic she would be raising these kits...alone? She felt herself get dizzy but a loud hiss made her snap back into reality. A large black tom along with a few others appeared chasing after Hickornose.
HONEYHEART RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUN AWAY !"
She stood frozen watching Hickorynose fight for his life against these rats. Honeyheart didn't hesitate, tears in her ears, the she-cat ran. She had nothing anymore, she had no one. She heard a loud shreik and the silence. She knew Hickorynose was gone, her sister was gone, her mate gone. Everyone was gone. The she-cat didn't stop she collapsed in the roots of an oak tree before closing her eyes tightly. A loud sob escaped her fragile frame and that was when she realized how alone she truly was. Her fur soaked wet with salty tears she lifted her gaze to she sky. "Are you watching over me now..?"
"is WHO watching over you now?"
Honeyheart jumped at the voice and backed up against the tree. "Don't come near me....I'm a good fighter."
"IT really looks like you are in the position to fight. Look kitty cat. I'm not here to hurt you. Anyone hurting a pregnant queen is rubbish."
"Please....help me my mate sister and best friend just died...I don't know where I am or what to do...."
"You are in BirchClans old territory I know looks different from the war doesn't it? Trees down, ash...it looks like dark forest on earth look, I have a safe place for you, there will be others soon. I'm bringing the clans back."
Honeyhearts eyes burned into the black she-cats decided whether or not she could trust her. After awhile Honeyheart gave a nod, and the black she-cat and the ginger she-cat walked side by side. It was a start of a wonderful thing. The clans were coming back. I promise you Gullwing, Sorrelpool, Hickorynose you did not lose your life in vain. I WILL avenge your death," Let the clans begin....
