CEDARCLAN

Cedarclan Banner

Founded by Starlingfur in Green-Leaf of year one, Cedarclan was created with the ideals of tradition, sincerity, and perseverance in mind. The cats of Cedarclan are a tight-knit group. Familial groups share strong bonds here, and those who were raised together are as close as siblings. Due in part to their founder's rogueborn heritage, they are very welcoming towards outsiders. Rogues and loners will find just as much a place in Cedarclan as their clan-born counterparts- despite their close clinging to the warrior code. Traditional values are very important in Cedarclan. Protecting your clanmates, forming strong bonds with one another, and putting yourself above the whole are very much important things when it comes to their warriors. That isn't to say that it doesn't see its share of antisocial cats. No- quiet warriors belong just as much as their friendlier clanmates. A great number of Cedarclan's warriors tend to keep to themselves when not with friends or family. Quiet calm is something that Cedarclan warriors are known for. Tradition may be important to Cedarclan's warriors, but so is being true to yourself. Their leader is very flexible when it comes to working with a warrior's schedule and skills, and is known to be thoughtful and easygoing.

Active times: Dusk-Dawn

Being naturally nocturnal creatures, the cats of Cedarclan operate by a night schedule. Hunting, fighting, eating and playing by the shine of the moon, these cats have excellent night vision and aren't typically found out and about by day unless for patrols.

Location: Northern Sunset Plains

The massive cedar forests of the sunset plains are called home by the warriors of Cedarclan. Thick underbrush, squirreling paths, and trees so massive they could fit ten inside them, Cedarclan cats are apt at navigating confusing places and maneuvering through brambles, bushes, and obstacle of all sorts. Most of them feel most at home beneath towering trees and buried in thick grasses, but their territory includes grasslands as well. A good stretch of field is perfect for catching rabbit or having a nice run, and the varied terrain keeps Cedarclan cats on their toes. Still, most don't like places that are too open.

Prey:
Birds, bats, eggs, rabbits, hares, pika, chipmunks, squirrels, mice, shrew, voles, hedgehogs

Dangerous Animals:
Wolves, mountain Lions, foxes, coyotes, black bears, raccoon, weasels (potential prey), Gophers (potential prey), marmots (potential prey)

Fighting Style: Stealth, aerial combat

Cedarclan cats attack strategically. They plan what needs to be done far in advance, coming up with dozens of possible scenarios. They hunt their foes like prey, stealthily stalking from the underbrush or leaping from tree to tree in chase. Then, they burst upward or leap downward and strike when least expected. They say the most terrifying part about fighting a Cedarclan warrior is that you never know where they are.

MARSHCLAN

Marshclan Banner

Founded by Honeyheart in Green-Leaf of year one, Marshclan was created with the ideals of courage, strength, and liberality in mind. The cats of Marshclan know how speak their minds and follow their hearts. The majority of their founders were rogue-born despite their leader having been born to a clan, and have brought different outlooks to their life as warriors. They know the value of looking out for one's self, but take pride in Marshclan. This is their home, and they'll fight tooth and claw to protect it and their own. The warriors of Marshclan are brash, full-hearted, and not afraid to bend the rules for what they think is right. Everything they do is done in extremes. They fight, laugh, love, and experience loss all more fiercely than the heat of the sun. Marshclan is a clan of passion and intensity. Not speaking what you think true would be a shocking idea to most in this group. Blunt and heavypawed, maybe. But you'll never catch a Marshclan cat stewing over something moons passed. They'll have done something about it! Or at least, that's what the majority would tell you. After all, Marshclan pride is legendary. Rowdy and brighthearted, it's easy to make friends here. Or enemies. Their leader is a fair and just one, but has a passion like no other.

Active times: Dawn-Dusk

It's clan tradition to live by the sun! You can see better by daylight, and who doesn't like the feeling of sun on their fur? Thats what the daylight-living warriors of Marshclan say. You won't often find them out and about by night unless they're on patrols.

Location: Mountain Marshes

Thin birch forests and sloshing wetlands are familiar sights for the cats of Marshclan. Their territory is a unique one- forest, rocklands, marsh, and lakes all in one. Swimming through both mud and clear water are common activities for Marshclan cats, and they excel in both water hunting and water combat. Massive lakes surround their territory on both sides, while streams, marshes, and small ponds crisscross the forest. For the most part free of underbrush and with thin, distantly spaced trees, their territory isn't a difficult one to navigate. The earth can be hilly and cliff-like in places however, and large boulders dot the landscape. It's best not to get too comfortable.

Prey:
Birds, squirrels, chipmunks, mice, shrew, voles, geckos, freshwater crabs, fish, crayfish, frogs

Dangerous Animals:
Mountain lions, foxes, coyotes, black bears, raccoon, beavers, mountain goats, weasels (potential prey), large fish (potential prey)

Fighting Style: Water combat, brute strength

Marshclan cats attack fast and hard. With little underbrush in their territory, they've found that brute strength is their best option. Most strategy involves overpowering their foe, or striking from the water and dragging their opponent down with them. Marshclan cats rely heavily on endurance, fighting and clawing until their last breath. It's said that unless dealt with quickly, they can outlast any foe.
