When you get to the end of your rope, Tie a knot and hang on.
More cats seemed to be coming every day. Starlingfur was beginning to wonder just how many cats remained in the basin. Word was spreading quickly, and it was of little surprise that Shadowfrost had brought back two new cats with him this night. The leader looked over the two of them now- one she-cat, one tom. One silver, one spotted. The first seemed rather slender, despite Green-Leaf's having just faded. The second was muscular and strong, with a smile that stretched from ear to ear. What kind of cats would they turn out to be, she wondered?
Starlingfur flicked an ear as Raven introduced herself. Her demeanor was almost... regal. Not the most... fitting name- a curious thing. But the leader nodded. And- deputy? A soft, amused exhale of breath left the queen's nose. But before she could respond, the tom jumped in.
"I'm Dots! 'S so nice to meet you, miss Starlingfur. I don't know an awful lot about your group, but I wanna learn." he meowed excitedly with a vigorous nod. Dots, then. Well, enthusiasm was good. Starclan knew she hadn't been half as eager when she'd first come to the clans- but seeing it inborn in other cats was a heartening thing. Especially in ones who hoped to join their clan. Starlingfur smiled.
"I see. Raven and Dots. You stand in the midst of Cedarclan. And no- not deputy. I am this clan's Leader." an amused glint was in her copper eyes. She was surprised that Shadowfrost had failed to mention his own position to the two- but that would be a discussion best left for later. For now...
Copper eyes blinked. ... Bolt? That could be... none other than Boltfang. It was impressive for her to have tracked him this far- from the old forest? He'd.... told her about a family, when they were young, hadn't he? But memory was so fuzzy now. Still, she remembered Swanstrike coming to search for him, claiming the same thing. And as Ravenmist gestured to the she-cat, located halfway across the clearing with a pile of kits at her paws, it all began to make sense. Swanstrike wasn't Boltfang's sister... but looking back to her now, Starlingfur could piece together similarities between this Raven and the patched warrior. Slim build. Blue eyes. The same triangularly shaped head. Starlingfur nodded. "I see. Swanstrike, as her name is now, has not mentioned you. However, you would be welcome to look for Boltfang." she offered, dropping both of their new names.
"I can help with that!" Dots chirped from beside Raven, bouncing on his paws. Green eyes were bright and hopeful, looking first from Raven and then to Starlingfur. "Unless- uhm... I want to help with Cedarclan things too! Actually- I'll just- uh- do whatever you ladies say."
